Work Surfaces
Work Surfaces have to withstand the on going punishment of a modern laboratory. A high quality worktop is the basis for efficient and economic working procedures. The material used needs to be chemical resistant, hygienic, easy to clean and maintain, durable and flexible.Increasingly, there is also an additional requirement to find environmentally friendly solutions – to minimize ecological impact and maximize effectiveness.
We provide you with a versatile selection of work surface materials to meet virtually any application. When selecting laboratory countertops to pair with your laboratory, there are several important considerations to keep in mind:

Solid Surface work surfacesA solid non-porous surfacing material homogeneously composed of ±1/3 acrylic resin. A good choice for sterile environments. |
Thermoplastic polymer HDPE, Polypropylene, PVC
Wide Variety of applications. highly resistant to chemical solvents, acids and bases.
|
Epoxy resinComing soon to ECL!!!
Epoxy work surfaces are monolithic offering consistent chemical resistance throughout. They are moulded from modified epoxy resin, compounded and heat cured. Epoxy offers outstanding resistance to acid, alkali and solvents, as well as physical abuse. Solid WoodRobust and forgiving in physically demanding environments. Wood countertops are often finished with a urethane coating that repels alcohol, bleach and most common solvents.

High pressure laminatesHigh-pressure plastic laminate countertops are versatile and economical. Laminates are among our least expensive surface options, however may not be appropriate for all laboratory environments.
|
Stainless steelStainless steel work surfaces provide excellent chemical and heat resistance and a high level of mechanical demand. A good choice for wet or sterile environments.
